Today was a great day in sewing for everyone!!
Aren't these tote bags cute!! They are also very functional and have an added bonus of teaching many of the basic sewing skills in a fun and useful way.
Our studio does it all! Beginners and advanced, using patterns, drafting patterns, mending - we teach it all!
We had our first class for adults today. I don't have any pictures, we were too busy, but we sure had a great time!! Pictures forthcoming next week! Now onto our Monday kid's classes! I have some new Valentines samples for inspiration. I hope they like them!

Our party today was a high success!! All the party goers had a blast and finished their very own unique project!

We had a fantastic time yesterday!! Our fall classes started up and the enthusiasm and excitement running through the studio was like an electric current.

Monday has rolled around again and a new camp is starting. This week it is sewing and our new group of students are fabulous!
Today was our last day of camp for the week. Everyone was laughing and talking and working on their projects.
I simply cannot believe how quickly all these students have learned to sew! They are amazing and focused and extremely creative!
Incredibly, we seemed to have had even MORE fun today in camp!
Our second day of camp was today and it was as good if not better than the first! All the students came in so excited to work on their projects.

We are now hosting mother/child workshops at Let's Go Crafting's studio. The most recent one was so much fun! They chose the Lined Book Bag for their project.

We always prepare carefully for our workshops. All tools and necessary items are placed within easy reach on our work table.
The students first pick their fabrics and then we get right down to pinning and sewing. "Tux the distractor" usually gets into the mix asking for attention.

There are more than enough sewing machines for everyone to work at the same time.

Check out these bags! I had some very fun designer fabrics on hand and decided to offer these for this project. Don't they look fabulous?!
